Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is an operation that can not only alter the way you look but also sometimes even improve your nasal airflow. I approach my rhinoplasty patients by firstly listening to your concerns and then making a careful assessment of your nose, making a plan that will be unique to you. I aim to address your concerns and leave you with a natural nose that fits with the rest of your facial features.

Rhinoplasty can be divided into open and closed (endonasal) surgery. Some surgeons only carry out one type of operation but I tailor your surgery for you, depending on the problem identified. I use an instrument called a piezo saw to shape the nasal bones but minimize the damage to the soft tissues. This leads to a more predictable result being achieved.

Recovering From Rhinoplasty

Depending on the specific case, you will have a nasal splint that is removed approximately two weeks after surgery. Many patients begin to see results within 2-4 weeks. Discomfort is typically minimal; however, pain medication is available as necessary. After surgery, sun exposure and pressure on the nose is discouraged. After surgery there is some very minor swelling of the nose that will take time to settle.
